Hendon builds a physics-based inference engine for experimental testing. Expensive tests generate enormous data, yet engineers still spend hours deciding whether to trust it. We build the software that reasons about that data — reconstructing hidden states, reconciling sensors, and quantifying uncertainty — so teams trust every test.

The most valuable information in a campaign is usually already in the measurements you have; it just has to be inferred. We extract more from existing instrumentation instead of demanding more of it.

Research foundations

Pioneering aerothermal Bayesian models.

For over a decade our researchers have worked at the forefront of experimental uncertainty assessment — building the probabilistic methods that turn sparse, noisy measurements into quantities engineers can act on. That work has spanned wind tunnels, turbomachinery rigs, and engine test cells, and has been published across the aerospace, turbomachinery and machine-learning literature.

It covers the problems this industry actually has: averaging flow fields properly when the probes are few, transferring what one rig teaches you to the next, detecting anomalies in engine data, and modelling aerofoils and wings well enough to infer what was never measured — each with calibrated uncertainty attached.

At Hendon we are bringing that expertise to market. The same methods, engineered into software that runs alongside a live test campaign rather than sitting in a paper — so the teams paying for tunnel time get the answer, and its uncertainty, while the rig is still running.
