We are pleased to share that Hendon will present at the NWTF AI-Enabled Wind-Tunnel Experiments Forum, hosted by the National Wind Tunnel Facility at Imperial College London on 14 September 2026.

The forum brings together researchers working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and experimental fluid mechanics — AI-enabled campaigns, autonomous wind-tunnel testing, real-time sensing, and data-driven approaches to accelerate aerodynamic discovery.

What we’ll present

Our talk covers physics-defined generative priors — the core of Hendon’s inference layer. Rather than fitting a black-box model to test data, we encode the governing physics as named, interpretable motifs and pair them with a flexible residual the measurements pin down. Because the priors carry no mesh, inference is real-time, and every answer arrives with calibrated uncertainty.

We’ll walk through results on real test campaigns — a transonic aerofoil, a full car body recovered against held-out PIV, and a turbomachinery rig reconstructed from a fraction of the usual traverse — showing how a handful of sensors becomes a full field with quantified confidence.
